The search continues for art for the wall of the new basement-cum-gathering room.

I still haven't found the perfect thing, but I have found this artist's work:

Angela Vandenbogaard creates pieces that I think are really beautiful and cheerful and elegant. It makes me happy to look at it.

We're redoing the basement here at Schoolhouse Farm. I've been looking for the perfect art for the wall that will inspire everything else.

Note to whatever process or person got me on the Hanna Andersson catalog mailing list: Maybe you would like to explain to my daughter why I won't buy her $90 shoes?

Bee is in love with Hanna Andersson and all its soft, Swedish goodness. She wants all the flower-dotted clogs and tights. She wants at least two or three things on every page. Moreover, she wants me to dress like her in the Mommy-and-Me styles that are apparently part of what the company's tagline touts as "our Swedish heritage."
